Psychoanalyst and Clinical Psychologist

Psychoanalysis explores unconscious psychic processes to understand and treat emotional and psychological disorders. It delves into the deep layers of the unconscious to reveal the sources of suffering. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is based on a respectful and trusting collaboration, paving the way for personal reconstruction. It aims to improve one’s relationship with their internal reality, giving it meaning.

Introduction

Suely Moreira Marques

I am a psychoanalyst, clinical psychologist, and Ph.D. in human and social sciences, trained at the Universities of Paris, Lyon, and São Paulo. I offer both psychoanalysis and psychotherapy for children, adolescents, or adults, addressing various forms of fragility, regardless of their expressions: emotional, psychological, psychic, or social difficulties; disability contexts; cultural uprooting situations; work or family-related suffering, etc.

My goal is to provide each person with welcoming and professional support, enriched by the contributions of psychology and psychoanalysis. Feel free to contact me to discuss your needs and expectations regarding consultations and support. It is from this conversation that I can implement a therapy tailored to your needs.

(Bruno Catalano)

I offer transcultural psychotherapy to support individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. My psychotherapeutic support is aimed at those who have recently migrated or experienced migration. Adapting to a different environment, a new language, and another culture often generates anxiety. The loss of cultural references, feelings of rejection, uprooting, homesickness, cultural shock, and the challenges of a profound change often cause suffering and trauma, with repercussions on family life. Transcultural psychotherapy can help you succeed in adapting to a new community and finding a life balance that considers your cultural identity.

(Frederic Leighton)

Discomfort, which manifests in various forms, can present through somatic and/or psychic symptoms, such as depression, anxiety attacks, sleep disorders, eating problems, substance dependency, sexual dysfunctions, panic attacks, etc. Discomfort can also manifest through relationship difficulties, couple problems, fear of commitment, obsessive thoughts, unresolved grief processes, loss of meaning and interest, emotional overload, affective dependency, etc. Whether psychic or somatic, it is important to recognize that while suffering is not always avoidable, it can be alleviated. Through well-accompanied personal work, it is possible to identify underlying causes and find appropriate responses.

(Franz Wilhelm Seiwert)

Combining my experiences in the corporate field with clinical practice and work psychodynamics, I seek to help you understand the suffering experienced in your work environment. You may seek help for various reasons, such as burnout, conflicts with colleagues or hierarchy, moral harassment, return to work after medical leave, work addiction, chronic professional anxiety, ethical suffering, or other situations. Personalized, non-judgmental support can help you restore balance in your professional life.

(Salvador Dalí)

I offer a therapeutic space to support you on your journey, whether you are a person with a disability, a parent, sibling, other family member, or friend. My support aims to help you face the challenges that a disability can present, whether from birth or acquired later in life. In therapy, I am committed to providing a respectful and confidential listening ear, helping you understand and “process” your difficulties, sufferings, and self-questions, and better manage stress, anxieties, and the consequences of a difficult situation. My goal is to help you find answers in terms of acceptance, self-confidence, dealing with others’ perceptions, family construction, or future projection. I welcome both people with disabilities and their families, providing a space and time for the free expression of feelings and concerns. My commitment is to accompany you towards better well-being, considering your uniqueness.

Professional Background

My professional journey has been built between Brazil and France. Initially, I accumulated various experiences as a university professor, instructor, human resources consultant, coach, and manager in São Paulo. Later, I directed my career towards psychoanalysis, attending to adults in private practice since 2015.

In 2019, personal events led me to leave Brazil and settle in France. During this time, I completed a Master’s in Clinical Psychoanalytic Psychopathology at Paris Cité University. Throughout this journey, I actively participated in the Perinatology Care Service at Vésinet Hospital, worked in the educational environment with a child facing severe psychic disorders, integrated the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service at La Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, and collaborated with “L’œuvre Falret,” specifically the Residences Les Sources, where I accompanied adults with severe mental disorders. From my intercultural journey, professional experiences, and educational background, I offer psychoanalytic psychotherapy, aiming for the well-being desired by each individual, for themselves and their loved ones.
